Weekly Newsletter
Hawk Band
Hi Hawk Family,
I am hoping this email finds you enjoying the Memorial Day Monday off. Thank you to all of the parents and staff that have served in the military. Your service allows us to enjoy all of the freedoms we get to enjoy. This will be my final email for the 2022-2023 school year. This year has been a whirlwind of information that I needed to learn. I truly believe we had a very successful school year. Thank you to all of the parents who helped make this year a complete success. The staff and I are really looking forward to next year and working with all of the new talent.
Please note, this week we will be reissuing our instruments to the students. Finals week is upon us and we want to take care of last minute items before summer hits. Please make sure, if your student is due for a physical, they get that taken care of before the first day of band camp.
Lastly, please look at the band calendar closely. Summer band starts the week of July 24th. We need to make sure all students are present for the summer band dates in order to start the year off right. Thank you all and if I don’t see you, please enjoy the summer break.

STUDENT PHYSICALS DUE BEFORE SUMMER CAMP STARTS IN JULY 24th
For all Trombone and Baritone Players:
Hello all Harlan band students!
My name is Aidan Ramos and I am a Music Composition major at UTSA! Currently I'm looking for students to give private lessons to over the summer. If you were here on Tuesday for rehearsal you may remember me announcing this.
I am currently looking to give private lessons to Trombones and Euphoniums. I have played Euphonium and Trombone for 7+ years and as well as having experience performing in university bands and I would love to teach and help some of you!
As for all the Band students, I am also offering lessons for Music Composition. Being a student of composition and having written a few pieces and having some premiered, I know that there are some of you that might be interested in writing your own music. Maybe you could write your own band piece!
If you wish to check out some of my work, feel free to visit my YouTube or Instagram page (@0122aidan_music)
Currently my rates are $25 for 30-minute lessons and $50 for 1-hour lessons.
If you are interested in these summer lessons, email me at 0122aidan.composer@gmail.com and we can get you signed up!
I'm very excited to start teaching y'all!
